In my obsessive search into the world of boats, I have fallen in love with Chris Craft. I don't know why, but I love them from the pictures...... I have not seen one in person, but I have been on a Chap. I love the look of a chap too, but I am curious. What are the differences in these two boats?

When C-C was under OMC, not much. The C-C company, and boats, changed a lot after being sold by OMC.

edit***** let it be understood that i consider both these boats.... real class rigs.

a local dealership sells both cc and chaps......

you can buy a lot bigger chap than cc for the money.......BUT....

i crawled over both....looking at construction.

the cc is a LOT better built boat.....ive never seen a cc with the cap off.....but looking at what they did in the engine bay and how the cc is built......

cc is clearly the winner from a construction standpoint

Having owned a CC and having a brother who owned a Chappy............I can tell you both boats are quality pieces. The CC was a heaver boat for the size, additionally the upholstery and gaging seemed a bit higher quality................but the fit and finish on both boats was equally impressive.
