I wish I was more ambitious to post pictures as the project progressed, but it was just to much to work on the boat and post pictures on a regular basis. We bought the unit in may and didn't get started on the project until august and then it took us about a month and a half of pretty intensive work, but very happy with the overall product.

This forum has been a great resource for our project as the pictures are fun to look at and most topics offer a great source of ideas and help with problem solving. Much thanks to all of those who are diligent in regularly posting keeping this forum buzzing.

We ended up finding a triangular nose tank that we installed in the bow platform & seating area, so I have this other tank here that we didn't end up using, and it is a perfect below deck fuel tank for a restoration. EDIT

You can see some of the before shots here in this facebook album:

And then just a couple brief of the completion shots. (note like all boats its not completed yet, and we have to add some more accessories to everything and figure out something for the windshield, registration, etc.

Nice Mariner, I love those boats.

I don't know about the cost, but a sheet of Lexan mounted to the tube frame might work for the windshield

your local Lowe's has a good selection of Lexan and other acrylics at tolerable prices. big sheets cost so much to ship that the shipping adds a lot to cost. but that will work great, just bend it carefully around yolur tube frame with a heat gun.
