composite / modular prop?

i have a 1996 stingray 556zpx with a merc. 3.0lx and an alph1 gen2 drive. currently i have an aluminum 4 blade 14x20 prop on it that i am pretty satisfied with. the prop itself is in rough shape and in my search for a new one i came across piranaha propellers.
has anyone had any experience with their props. they make a composite prop in which each blade is modular and replaceable individually. you can also buy new sets of blades in different pitches and they claim it takes approx. 10mins to switch out. just wanted to know if anyone has stories or opinions on these props (good or bad). the package price is approx $240 with a hub, 2 sets of blades, a prop wrench and a bag. pretty reasonable if it performs well and will hold up. thanks everyone!

I can't speak of that brand but I do run a comprop "nonrepairable" 4 blade composite that I like alot. I've run it for 2 seasons now and it looks as good as new.

Composite props have thicker blades than aluminum or stainless steel and so are inherently less efficient. If they are structured to interchange the blades the hub has to be thicker and less efficient. While they sound great there are significant drawbacks to many composite designs.

To my mind the biggest problem is that almost any contact will likely cause
complete blade failure. granted a spare blade(s) make getting back up easy and fairly reasonable.Problem is if you cruise where contact is likely it could become an expensive operation.Also spontanious blade failure is not unheard of.
