long story short bought a boat, and its not right, I will tell you more and share pics but first things first,
Anyone have any clue what the compression should be on a 4.3l gm 1992 Volvo 430b? the engine is a non vortex, non balance shaft

The engine was supposed to be rebuilt, but I could not get it to idle. so I pulled her down looking for issues. I got the following results
1 190
3 160
5 160
2 190
4 170
6 175
are these numbers close? I ripped the intake and the heads bores look OK, well 4 of them, wondering if I have a bent rod or something. This all started when I found the motor was hydro locking due to leaking manifold at the elbows.

According to my manual it should be 180.It be more worried about the difference between your cylinders, rather than if they were higher/lower than the actual spec.I highy doubt you will have running issues with the compression you measured.

Compression isn't your problem.

I would start my adjusting idle and then move on to fuel mixture, if you are carbed. If not, then your problem lies with the ECU if you have and EFI setup. Have you tried looking under the "adults only" section for the manuals?
