1984 Johnson 25
Mod# j25elcrs Ser# e6005425

Top cylinder reads 145lbs and bottom cylinder reads 125lbs

So what is your-alls opinion on the compression? Would it be wise to put money into this little old guy or not?

Thanks!

The difference is not so good, IF it's accurate. I would decarb the motor and run the test again, before assuming you have a big problem. Good Luck!

Thanks, What do you mean by de-carb the motor?

Look in the Top Secret File and/or the Engine FAQ file for decarbonizing procedures.
