Just had my BF90 4 stroke in for 20 hour service and the compression results are as follows: #1 cylinder 200 psi, #2-185, #3-190, #4-200 I know this falls within 10% but the engine only has 20 hours on it. Shouldn't the numbers be more closer?

Hi, Perry.

Try again after she is broken in and all parts are seated.

You do not have a problem.

Good luck. :)

Perry
I agree with JB. With only 20 hours rings may not all be seated yet. I have one question. With that high a compression can you run 87 octain gas??

Re: Compression results

With the price of Gas here in Hawaii approaching $2 a gallon, I have been using 87 octane and have not heard any pinging or signs of detonation. The manual says to use 87 or higher so for now, I will keep using 87.
