Just had my BF90 4 stroke in for 20 hour service and the compression results are as follows: #1 cylinder 200 psi, #2-185, #3-190, #4-200 I know this falls within 10% but the engine only has 20 hours on it. Shouldn't the numbers be more closer?
Perry<br />I agree with JB. With only 20 hours rings may not all be seated yet. I have one question. With that high a compression can you run 87 octain gas??
With the price of Gas here in Hawaii approaching $2 a gallon, I have been using 87 octane and have not heard any pinging or signs of detonation. The manual says to use 87 or higher so for now, I will keep using 87.
