90 on 3 cyl and 60 on the other.

I'm sure I need rings for all, but whats the chances I may get by with the $12 headgasket for the other?

I think I read that some people squirt oil in the cyl and re check, if it improves that would mean the ring (correct)?

Re: compression

If you've got 90 on all three, the liklihood of the low cylinder being any higher is about nil. Headgaskets at the very least. 90 isn't terrible either.

Re: compression

what about stuck ring(s) on the low cylinder?

how long has it been sitting?

maybe squirt some pb blaster into the spark plug hole trying to hit the permimeter of the piston at bottom dead center.

if you take the head off, make sure the top piston ring is still there.

My engine had simularly low compression on one bank.
Both pistons were missing the top ring. Thus low compression by about 30psi.

I guess I'm unclear on what you're really asking here.

You've got a real problem that needs to be fixed on the one bank (the one with 60). You should pull the head and inspect.

If you had 90 in all four and were otherwise running great, I'd say leave it be and enjoy. Or, decarb if it's due and maybe check again.
