Just wondering what is a good compression for an older motor on a Boat ?? Checked mine the other day and i had 100 in one end cylinder and 90 in another!!
Yea i thought it was tired, 140 is good ?? i plan on a rebuild this fall ... i tested it for 4 pumps but not throttle open or engine warm?? does that make a difference??
Throttle not being open can make a HUGE difference. Hard for it to compress air for a compression check if it can't suck any in past the throttle butterflies .....
