Re: Compression

Hey JR,
How did you determine that you were losing pressure in the bottom cylinder? Your compression figures sound pretty good.
Backlash

Re: Compression

Hi.
The pressure guage started to bleed off real fast. I did the check a couple of times to make
sure it wasn't a flook.

JR

Re: Compression

Hi JR

Compression usually lowers fast, but the cylinder in question can have small scores. If it can maintain same toppressure, its usually no problem. Is there any problem with your motor, besides from this ?

Re: Compression

Hi G DANE,

I pulled the head and checked the cyl walls they looked fine. I checked the head with a square
and it appears that it may need to be plained. while I have it down I will replace the thermostst
and check valve. It appears that the motor has over heated at one time.

Thanks,

JR
