Compression

I have a question about compression test. I have never done one on my motor because I never thought I needed to. What problems will warrent a compression test. Bad o-ring, bad head gasket, etc? I just would like to know what issues I could have that I need to do a compression test. Everything is running good now, just asking for future reference. Besides I'm about ready to pack her wasy for the season

Test gives you a starting point to asses future problems, if any.

Hard starting,poor performance.Just a couple of things bad compression causes.
It's the FIRST thing to do when diagnosing any problem.J
