Re: Computer Lingo
UBB = Universal Bulletin Board Code, used by many forums as a universal way to format text (bold, italic, embedded pics, etc)

HTML = Hyper Text Markup Language, the code that is used to create web pages. Like UBB but much more complicated, much more powerful.

Avatar = Not an anagram, just the word for that little smiley face you got banging his head

http = hyper text transfer protocol, the protocol or 'procedure' used to transfer and recieve hyper text documents over the internet (aka surf the web)

Syntax = Word that describes the proper "grammar" for a computer command or program. A syntax error is when a word or parameter is out of place.

Hyperlink = A clickable piece of text that contains the URL (Universal Resource Locator, aka address) of another web site, linking one hypertext document (aka web page) to another.

Next???

Hope this helps!
