Computer Mouse Question

Here's my problem. Let's say I'm looking at a post in Non-boating Technical Issues. When I click on my return arrow to return to post topics, sometimes my mouse will "double click" and return me to the previous area i.e. Stupid Human tricks. There is no audible double click sound.
This also occurs when I'm deleting mail. It will delete two subjects and not just the one I wanted to delete.
Where do I go in control panel to adjust this?
Window XP system. GE Optical Mouse.

Re: Computer Mouse Question

All the properties for your mouse (including double-click speed) are in the control panel.

Start->Settings->Control Panel->Mouse

-or-

Start->run->main.cpl

Re: Computer Mouse Question

I was going to tell you but i386 beat me to it. Good joke to play on somebody too, drives them crazy. Another one is Ctrl + Alt + any of the directional arrow key will rotate the screen by 90 degrees. The look on pepole face is priceless when they come back to their work station. :D They'll do all sort of funny things like standing with their head tilt side way or turn the monitor on it's side, etc...

Re: Computer Mouse Question

Mouse is still not working properly. I reversed the keys so left click is now right click and it will now single click and not skip to 2 or sometimes 3 clicks. Guess the optical mouse has seen too many sites and is tired.:(

I will be buying a new mouse as soon as I can get to town.

I have been having mouse issues since the new server was installed for iboats..... try your mouse on other sites before you replace it.

Thanks Bob VT, but that is not the problem. The left click portion also messed up with just about every issue on my PC, e-mail,deletions, moving between folders,etc. At this time I am learning how to right click instead of left click.:D

Re: Computer Mouse Question

If you want a quicker way to go back or forward a page, hold alt and press the left arrow (back a page) or the right arrow (forward a page).
