I am sure if I dig long enough I could find it but cant seem to right now. How can you tell if the foam in the boat is for structure or flotation? My boat has it on the outside but is open in the middle, I am thinking that it is for flotation but would sure hate to be wrong.

Have any of Youn's had any experiance with using Isoboard insulation that is used on steel roofing ? I drove over a piece that blew of our roof while they were replacing with a ezygo cart in a puddle for a month and was so impressed I went up on our Mills roof to find out what this stuff was . Bought 80 4x8x2" sheets to insulate my barn side walls and its R14 and has black Fiberglass type of paper on both sides and on edge its strong .
15 bucks a sheet and well worth it as i have used for a variety of places . Dosen't seem to soak water . Just another use could be for floation ?

jimbo did u ever find any post on ur thompson sea rage? if i remember correctly theres alot of info / history on fiberglassics site the whule history to B precise.

Actually, not me YD. That would be Jay (frisco) in that photo as he was peeling up the deck on his absolutely beautiful, perfect looking, new Sea Ray. Was breaking my heart watching that unfold, can't imagine how frustrated he was that day.

He's on it now though!

Your forgetting that some of use use 3/4"-1" drilled out pvc along our stringers before we pour foam in there for drainage .

Forgive my ignorance...

Not sure how that would help as wouldn't the foam plug and seal up any holes drilled through pvc, once poured in?

I would think having the gap between the foam and stringer would be helpful though.

Hi, It is a winner boats design. Thompson boats bought the assets of the winner boat co in the late 70's. They then made both models for several years, If you look at a winner cougar and this model you will see they are almost identical. The hull design is called quadralift, it works great but is not the smoothest riding hull design. I've had several of them.The stripes on my 78 winner was a single line, the thompson line was double member correctly theres alot of info / history on fiberglassics site the whule history to B precise.

This Guy gave some info dont understand not smoothest riding hull design . Will find out after some rough water (Lake Erie for me) It cuts through like a heavy boat and has
a sharp entry at bow like yours .

interestng pic of the fish u got there.so what is it? where i come from we dont have them,looks like a cold water fish.we have saltwater fish we have a bonefishin lodge where guest come an do fly fishing ocasionally.
