Hi all! Fairly new here. I have an '83 14' ClackaCraft drift boat that I got in the mid '90s. ClackaCraft history my boat model is the one at the bottom. I'm now going through the process of getting it back on the water after it's been sitting for almost 10 years. I'll be needing to do some fiberglass repairs and whatnot so I thought I would post this here as a sort of greeting and introduction. I've been studying some of the threads to get an idea what I'm looking at. Great stuff (and great people) in here!
Anyway In getting all my ducks in a row I found out about this new fangled "Boater safety card" and test. And reading up on it I see that all boats manufactured after '72 should have a capacity plate somewhere in the helm area. But there is nothing of the sort on my boat anywhere. Nor does it look like there ever has been. I wonder what the story is. And will this cause me problems in the future when it comes time to sell it?
Thanks for reading this and sorry it was a bit more wordy than I intended
.
Cheers.....................Todd
