condenstion question

After I run my motors,I do the flush,but I live in Sonoma Co.Hot days,cool nights.What's your take on this? Should I leave the cover off it when I put it in the garage,and let it air out? I was thinking about taping a sack of silica gel to the hood to absorb the moisture.Is this a good idea? I don't want to leave my motor compleaty uncovered.I do woodworking in my shop,and I don't want sawdust in ther either.To keep the cover on,or off,after a run,that is my question.

I never heard of condensation being a problem under the engine cover.

Condensation in the fuel tank is a frequent problem. Filling the tank after each use solves this problem.

I was just thinking they get warm under there,and since I'm usually running on bay water,or the Petaluma river,it would be a good idea to let whatever salt air is in there gets out before it sticks to anything.Don't know if this this will help keep them free of any rust.Maybe just a good wipe down of WD on the motor heads will suffice.Thanks.

I have seen other salt water users spraying down their engine with WD-40 for the very same reason.

you don't have a condensation problem. try the humid hot climate of Florida.
