Well, the biggest congratulations goes to his son (one of three). He just graduated from our United States Air Force Basic Training.

Congratulations to Fireman, Mrs Fireman, and Fireman Jr, Jr...;) He's the "middle" son.:D

He's made the decision to protect our country from all enemies, without and within... To protect our precious air space and play an intergral part in our great nations defense.

I had the honor of meeting this fine young man in the middle of the ICW where Fireman and family met with my family, sasto and Kimi. We tied off my boat behind Fireman's and we cruised together on Fireman's boat, about twenty-something miles to St Augustine for our get together this past June.

This young man is the epitome of what our armed services needs to be made up... He's an inteligent, soft spoken, respectful person with the strength and determination required to defend our precious United States and everything we stand for.

Fireman Jr, Jr... I salute you.

Nah, he just wants to fly around F-18 Super Hornet's on the taxpayer dollar. What's to congratulate about that?

I'm just kidding. That's damn awesome dude.

VH, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kind words. You always seem to sum up what most people think and have an eloquent way of putting things. You certainly do have a way with the english language. And to imagine you're from Brooklyn...:D

We will pass on these great words to Jr Jr.

He has a 9 day break from basic and then his 'A' school starts. He will remain in Lackland AF base (San Antonio, Tx...home of the Alamo) for his Security Forces training. For those who don't know, think civilian police force or Army MP. He couldn't decide between becoming a police officer or joining the military, so this way he gets the best of both worlds. He came out of basic training with his head a bit higher, standing a bit taller, and obviously proud that he was part of something so important. We couldn't be prouder.

Congrats to the Fireman Family. VH, from your description of JR, he must take after his mom, right? LOL!

SERIOUSLY?!?!

Congratulations Fireman and Jr. Jr.!! My brother-in-law is in USAF Security Forces. He's normally working the missile fields up in Montana, but right now he's deployed over in the sandbox.

I come from a guard family and spend some of my spare time with CAP (USAF Aux). Fly High!!
