Guys, if you have 5 mins, check out some of the records broken (national and world) at Lake coniston this week.
The mighty Silverline smashed the world record for immersed propeller class
An F4 boat managed 81mph with a 60hp !
The world record was also broken for a Rib too.
Amazing stuff over here in the UK.

Brilliant post. I?ll get a look now. Thanks for this.
A friend and I are thinking of taking a rare Marshan 192 down either next year or after. Fair bit of work to be done to get her up over a two way run 72mph average though.
Would love to take the Chase down, but I?m not sure there is even a class for it to enter.

My bomb is a 50ish MPH boat and is a blast to hammer down the lake. I just imagine what 72 would feel like.

My own boat once managed 66.7gps.
The Marshan we are thinking about taking has a 150 v6 2.0. That does 61gps without any bother. Reckon if we messed with Props, and put a jacking plate on her she would see mid 60?s at least. More tinkering would maybe see 70 ? Cheap speed !

That Silverline boat is a monster. It recently won the oldest power boat race in the world....the cowes to Torquay classic.
Averaged around 100mph in one stage in horrendous conditions.
Think it broke the world record this week at 123mph average on a two way run in fresh water and windy conditions.
There are a few clips of it at the start of the cowes to Torquay. It left much bigger and more powerful boats standing.
