Connect Garmin to Mercury 150 fourstroke

I recently picked up a 2019 Tahoe 1950 deck boat with a 2019 Mercury 150 fourstroke. Today I bought a Garmin Echomap UHD 73sv. I would like to connect my fish finder and motor. What is the cheapest way to do this? I looked up the smartcraft connect module and it’s 600 bucks which seems ridiculous. My boat doesn’t have a nema2000 network.

You can find the module a bit cheaper but that’s your only route.

Add another $100 to install a NMEA 2000 back bone in the boat as well
