Without using a breaker board, how do I make all my connections from the battery to the lights, bilge, blower etc.? of course, they WILL all have their own fuses. would I use a bus bar from the battery? or is it easier to buy a circut board?
I will be rewiring most of my boat (not the engine) and i need to know wire sizes, fuse sizes, etc etc. My boat is a Forester 22ft. cutty.

Re: Connecting Accessories to Battery

I'm going through this right now and, I've done a few in the past. I prefer to purchase a fuse block with more spaces on it than I need. I the run RED and YELLOW 8ga. conductors from my main battery, to the circuit board. As far as the wire sizes go, go to the web and look up USCG Boat Builders Handbook. Its free to download, and it has all you'll need to know about the proper gauge as well as the right color. I was told by my local USCG office that if you rewire an entire boat it must be done to current specs.
Best of Luck!
