I've been trying to get my OMC 3.0L engine to run smooth after a rebuild. New pistons new wrist pins. I am searching for excess engine noise, and have noticed something that I need to know if it is a problem.
When placing the pistons on the bench with the connecting rod up, two of the rods move smoothly and if you let them go will fall to one side. Two of the rods are tight and will stay standing up if you let them go.
Is this a problem or not? If so what should be done. Again, they are new pins and new pistons installed by a machine shop.
The engine has less than two hours on it.
