I posted earlier about an engine overheat- I've read several similar posts on the issue that got me thinking-
The fact is my boat engine overheated- started smoking and shut it down- I let it cool over night and started it the next morning, at which point it over heated again- since I was watching for it it did not appear to get as hot before shut down, but never the less it over heated again.
This is new territory for me. I've owned two outboards but never experienced any problems like this (though had my share of others). What are the major consequences of overheating besides cracked heads? What should I be looking for as signs of greater damage?
The boat is at a marina not accessible to me during the week so I am having a guy look at it this week to give me a prognosis- frankly, I'm kinda nervous about what I may find out....
