Hello all. I installed a charging relay on my 204C Overnighter and would like to install a led indicator at the helm. The Blue Sea Systems VSR I installed has an output for a remote indicator light to monitor the state of the realy. I would like to make it so the light will not come on if the ignition is off so it won't be lit when it is on the charger at home. I may be over thinking this (or underthinking) but I cannot figure out a good way to do this. Should I use a relay? Anybody have any ideas? A diagram would be awesome if possible.

Many thanks!

The light will only come one when the charging relay is closed. It will go out once the battery is fully charged. I use mine as a quick check to see if the batteries are fully charged or not.

In reality the draw from the LED is minimal having it on at home wouldn't effect anything, but the easiest way would be to have a simple switch in line.

Oh really? I guess I misunderstood how it worked. I thought that once the relay sees a voltage of around 13.5ish it will remain closed until it sees a drop down to mid 12s? At any rate, if I wanted to rig something like this up, I would love some advice on how to accomplish this.

Thanks again!
