I posted earlier about an oil leak in the lower unit area. I replaced all the worn out seals in the lower unit and it is no longer leaking gear oil. However, when I started the engine, an oily substance appeared at the top edge of the lower unit dripping from under the cowling. It smelled like oil / gas mix. This is a 1958 Evinrude Lark 35 hp. I looked at all the fuel lines and none are leaking. Could there be that much unburned fuel?

Also, I assumed the frech water flush attached where the brass colored plate is located at the side of the lower unit. I looked in the Selco manual and it has a very fuzzy picture that looks like the hose actually attaches to the opening centered just above the prop. Is that where it goes? If so, where do you get the hose attachment?
