Hey guys, I have a 1973 85 hp johnson motor and controls and I am trying to convert the control cables from the 400 model to some 3300s because the hull that I put the motor on has a pretty tight bend in it and I need a smaller bend radius than 8 inches which is what you get with the 400s. I found a conversion for the motor end but I can't find anything for the control box any help would be appreciated.

Re: Control Box Conversion

I have a Teleflex universal control box on my 81 Rude, it has holes in it to run most engines.

Just search Teleflex, the only "problem" was I had to run a new ignition switch but they are cheap.

They are realt nice and have a nuetral lockout instead of the lever like on the original OMC control.
