Control Box Maintenance?

I have a 1987 Johnson control box hooked to a 1987 Johnson 70VRO-
Does it require any routine maintenance? Seems a little tight on throttle control & wondered if anything inside needs lubeing or cleaning?

Can't answer about and maintenance required, but just wanted to make sure you know that the knob at the end of the control box is used for throttle tension adjust.

Ya you can get in there and grease stuff but be really careful, there is alot of stuff in that little box and it needs to be in a particular order.

Maybe take a picture as soon as you crack it to make sure you get everything back where ig goes.
