Control Box-Teleflex Cables

I am going to replace the cables on my Evinrude control box and notice te teleflex replacement cables come with ends for the control box. It looks like mine have a set screw to remove and the bare cable slides out of the connection fitting and he connection fitting stays with the control box.
Do you pry the arm apart to install a teleflex connection on or get a cable with a bare end. Is there a trick to removing the ends of the old control box. It looks like I need 479 cables.
Any help would be appreciated.

The control end looks like a bare cable on a 400 and the engine end is like a 479. If I could get the control side off, a 479 type would work on both ends.

OK, I found one that was listed in a real old evinrude motor. It is a # 0377372 and it works with the set screw in the control box.
