control box wiring

I have a 76 model johnson with control box that I just put onto my skeeter and i have several small wires coming out of the bottom of the control box one is a ground for sure another has constant juice and the last has juice when the ignition is turned over. HELP!!!

Hookup for the tach. One is for +12volts on the tach. One is for ground on the tach, and the third is the tach signal from the charging system.

You are probably looking at tachometer wires. Black is ground, purple is 12V feed when ignition is on, gray is tach signal.

Constant juice?? That doesn't sound right. Is it the gray one? You probably have a blown rectifier if it is.
