I have a 72 Johnson 100hp hydro-electric shift. The key is missing, and the box has been removed from the side of the boat.

I need to know what wires do what on the ignition switch so I can replace it, and do I have to run power and ground to the control box, and if so, where? Thanks!

Re: Control Box Wiring

Unless the ignition switch is bad, you don't need to replace it. Just get another key. The key can be purchased already cut/made from any Bombardier dealer-just give them the key number. The key number is stamped on the barrel of the switch. The control box gets all it's power from the factory wire harness that connects to the engine.
