I am looking to convert from old school cable and pulley steering system to modern system on a 1957 14' Duracraft Semi-V with a 1956 Evinrude 15hp. I have looked at iboats catalog and there are a lot of systems!!! Anyone here able to help me find the right system?

Buy the least expensive rotary kit and a transom clamp block. With only 15 HP, no need for no feedback or super-duty kits for high horsepower motors.

What's wrong with the cable/pulley steering you have now?

Everything is gone now. My Grandpa bought the boat and motor brand new. I got it back from a family member that pulled the remote controls and steering out of it. I am now looking to replace everything back to what was there. i just missed buying the remote controls on ebay today, hopefully more will pop up. The steering system is different, can't find what I need, don't mind the cables and pulleys. But, thought it might be easier to go with modern???

is the helm still there? if so, you have most of what is needed for the old cable style. a few pulleys and some cable and your set. much cheaper to repair what you have than replace with new.
