Convert stern drive to Direct drive?

I have a OMC 3 litre Model 802fthrcra enjine J serial#793079 w/ stern drive that I want to convert to direct drive on a pontoon boat. Do you have any suggestions? Transmission,etc.

Are you talking about changing it from a sterndrive to an inboard?

Ayuh,...

That doesn't sound to feasible to Me....

On a Toon,.. You'd probably do better going to an Outboard....

yes i am & thank you for your reply. i am in the process of trying to remove the lower unit now as i want to move the engine forward for better weight distribution then convert to direct drive as used on inboards.
