You need a long shaft lower unit. And shift shaft, water tube and mid-section.

Short shaft is 15", long shaft is 20", XL shaft is 25"

You need a long shaft lower like GA stated

Do you have a 5" extension kit installed and you are trying to remove it? This is far different than converting a factory extra long motor.

Lets see a pic of the stuck driveshaft extension. Your diagram isn't showing what you are having trouble with.

The extension slides in the end of the driveshaft, matching the spline. Put the lower unit in a vice with some wood clamping the driveshaft, heat it and use a crescent wrench adjusted so is just loose on the driveshaft and tap the extension off, using a hammer if needed. Soaking the joint with your favorite rust loosener solvent may help.

The lower unit with the drive shaft is off but the 5" spacer is still attached to the gear housing . Is it just held on with a couple of dowl pins ??
