I am currently looking at converting my 1989 Johnson 90 J90TLCEM back to VRO, the VRO was disconnected when I purchased this motor and was replaced by a pulse pump. The question I have is where does the pulse limiter screw in, I can see a brass bung below the currently installed pulse pump, does it screw in there or where the current pulse pump is fitted?. If it goes into the currently bunged position what will I need to blank off the pulse pump mount when I remove the pulse pump?

Thanks in advance.

The pulse limiter screws into the block below the lower carb to the port side. If you get a new pump, which would be a dandy idea, the instructions that come with the pump will show you where. You can plug off the pulse pump hole with a screw and gasket.

Ya' know what OBJ stands for? OutBoardJim.
How about a OBK to add to the list??? :D

Hey...one more thing...do check your alarms for no oil, and low reservoir before you take her out. And run a tank or two of premix with the new pump just to make sure the new pump is using oil. You can watch the level in reservoir go down if the new pump is OK.
