Well she returned the favor for my birthday. (I have no photos as I was a wee bit drunk) but she somehow managed to cater (she did say she wouldn't be able to top me by cooking) chinese from my favorite spot in. It was absolutely fantastic. I've been home and able to relax maybe 2 days in the last month... it's been chaos. But is finally winding down. I'll hopefully be able to get caught up on everything this week and start cooking again. :ROFLMAO:

The wife is on her way home from India and I must always grill her a big beef steak for her first meal. We both tend to get a smide tipsy but I'll try to remember to get pics. Will also be grilling the last of our asparagus crop.

I have a Indian friend who refers to his wife ( to her face πŸ˜†) as the sacred cow 🀣🀣

oh snap that looks awesome.
😁 The spuds were self sown in my compost heap , must have been some small ones stuck to the tops when I chucked them on the heap ....I did suggest to the Mrs they might be good eating to which she replied "#uck that you can eat them but Im not " 😁😁😁, Im gunna tell her soon , oooooohh this is going to be good .

and of course they are best on the boat catching more. Only other thing close is cold fried chicken, with a bit of extra salt. Don't know why but i crave extra salt on cold fried chicken.

I just hit 60 a week ago.

I love cold fried chicken. And fried chicken chicken salad. Oh and potato salad made with leftover baked potatoes.

I just hit 60 a week ago.
Yeah I usually eat the skin 1st and then put the salt on . I usually lightly bread the chicken ....unless its marinated....with stuff called "coat n cook" so the skin doesnt need salt.
And tphoyt , not a big fan on spud salad but Di does her version of baked potato.
She microwaves a big spud untill cooked then cuts the top off and hollows out the spud , mashes the removed inner and mixes in diced red pepper , onion and either bacon or ham , puts it back in the spud ,adds grated cheese and smoked paprika to the top and puts aside untill needed and then reheats/cooks in oven .
I'll get you a photo next time she does them πŸ™‚
