Cool Eclipse

Well, went out a 0 6 early and the eclipse was happening, looked back to the east and you could barely make out the sun coming up somewhere over the prairies.
Now back to bed!!

By the time we remembered to get the tripod and camera out the moon was to dark to focus on (and one of the snaps on the tripod leg busted off and wouldn't lock the leg. GRRRRR)
The early morning sky to the west was so clear and the stars were abundit, and you "KNEW" it was cold because all the limbs of the trees were reflecting any light off the hore frost.

I got up around 5:30 here and the Earth's shadow had just started it's cloaking of the Moon. It was very cool!

just a pic of the frosty morning, the trees looked like they had jewels hanging from them early this morning.
