I am having problems with the cooling of my 1985 65HP evinrude outboard. Replaced the impellor, waterjacket housing and thermostat. Took off the lower unit, turned the shaft with a drill and water shoots out of the impellor housing. Hook up a garden hose to the pick up line, water runs through the engine. With the water jacket housing removed, water pours out there. Once everything is removed, the water hardly comes out and engine starts to over heat. Mechanic now wants to remove the powerunit as he thinks that the pick up line is not correctly connected, however the bolts are seized.
Any other suggestions ?
THanks for looking
