i have a 1989 evinrude 25hp just cleaned the carb and replaced the water pump but the motor still isn't peeing out water i don't know where to start on this one please help thanks
Check the telltale hose for blockage. Critters often make a home there.
You may have to drop the lower unit again, and make sure the copper tube is in the grommet in the water pump, and also in the proper place in the mid section. It is also easy to pinch the copper tubing when reassembling.
