Cooling question

Hello

I have a 1990 90hp force on a 18 ft bayliner.

The motor runs strong and get on plane quick. I have noticed that after running it at around 3/4 throttle for sometime then commoing down to a idle speed there is a bit of what sems to steam (white smoke) that comes from the exhaust relief holes. The alarm does not go off so I tested it and it is working, I replaced the tstat and gasket, I also removed the plug behind the tstat houseign to see if I have water making it to the top of the motor and there is a good steady spay at idle which becomes more solid if you increase the throttle. Could this be somethign other that a impeller last time it was changed was 3 years ago.

Sounds about normal to me.
3 Years, probably time for a new impeller.
And a decarb of the engine.

It sounds like oil smoke to me. You don't notice it at higher speed as most of the exhaust goes out the snout. At low speed, more comes out the relief holes on the back of the engine leg. This is normal and nothing to worry about.

sounds to me like you're doing about all you can do. sounds like a nasty cold that you just need to sleep and liquify off! keep drinking that water- depending on dental health how your throat takes it, drink some orange juice.
