Cork thermostat gasket

S/N..0m624941 .......Forgot the order of placement...does the round cork gasket go under or on top of the thermostat itself.....

oooops sorry Its a 5.0 mpi 260hp..with bravo 3 outdrive

The cirk gasket goes unger the thermostat.

In the schematic it appears to show the cork gasket going on top of the thermostat..Thats what it appears like in the pic. Thats why now im totally unsure!!

My little cork gasket goes above, then the thermo then the sleeve.

i 'm sorry for the mistake.A better answer would be "google the type of your engine+thermostat housing" and possibly you would find a diagram showing what you need to know.

no problem...thats why we post questions...my sleeve is in the housing and isnt loose...I believe its the sleeve..might just be stuck in there right now.
