Johnson 1995 150 V6 Ocean Runner Loopers (optical ignition)

Which plugs should I buy? I've scoured the boards and everyone says Champion QL77JC4's gapped 30 are the best. Currently I have QL82YC's installed that have run with no problems.

What about the Stainless steel variety's are they worth the extra $$'s?

I plan on changing them yearly

Many thanks,

Richard

Re: Cornfused about spark plugs...

The factory recommended plug for your motor is a Champion QL78YC gapped at .030". The QL82YC will work ok and was originally recommended, then OMC changed to the 78's. In the mid 90's OMC redid their plug charts and old service manuals and owners manuals may still show the old QL77JC4 plugs.

Change plugs at 100 hours.

The stainless plugs are not worth the high cost.
