What is the correct point gap for a 87 omc 2.3 (Ford)? Also what is the proper procedure? I have just installed a tune up kit(condenser, points, rotor) and I set the gap at .018, thats what a friend told me to set it at. I just dont know if I used the right procedure and the right gap.
Thanks in advance for everyones help!!

Toby
Do you self a favor buy a good manual. It will save your time and money in the long run.

I do not know your motor but my 1980 OMC 3.0L 181ci chev motor is .019 and dwell is 32 to 34 degrees.

Does it run where you set it and is the timing still correct? If so should be ok.
