I have a 77 Johnson 200hp , Motor is currently set up with center fire plugs which I have not seen before on an outboard. There is no setting for gap. Motor runs fine but I'm wondering is this the correct plug to be using? I am ordering a manual today for the motor but wont have until after the weekend.
Thanks in advance

It could be one of the acceptable plugs as long as its a Champion. There are a couple that you can use. I prefer the (Q)L77JC4 in mine.

Which number do you have?

Thanks, They are champions I'll have to check the number. Is there an advantage or disadvantage to a center fire plug. I'm not sure how they work. does it fire off the cylinder head... or the side of the plug casing? Curious
