correct speed

my 18 ft Wellcraft cc V-hull fiberglass w/evinrude140hp does about 35mph @5500 rpm.does that sound right? im a little new at this.

Depends on payload and what you are using as a speedometer.RPMs sound good.

ob no payload. just me. my garmin gps tells the speed. stock ss prop cupped.motor has great compression,runs nice,just been timed.

I'd say your good with no worries.35 mph aint bad.Many may boast higher speeds with the same set-up,but talk is cheap.
