Re: Cost of Powerhead and labor
Just for reference. I am doing a 1976 Johnson 115 and with shop services for boring and chamfering and parts I will be at about $950. I am doing the work myself, and it is my first OB project, although I am experienced with several auto rebuilds on 4, 6 and 8 cylinders engines. I hope I don't end up with a fool for a mechanic.
The $950 is getting me a new OEM waterpump and related parts, gearcase seals and such as well as the powerhead work and parts which includes new forged pistons.
