The vinyl on my seats are destroyed. The vinyl that runs against the "walls" of the interior of my boat need replacing as well. To re-upholster all of this vinyl around how much will I be spending. I have a 19 Foot Invader...

The actual Vinyl runs from $8.00@yd. to $38.00@yd,....... Depending on Which Vinyl you want,...........<br /><br />The Labor to turn the Vinyl into Upholstry could Easily run Well into the Thou$and$...........

If you have any patience at all you can do this your self.<br />I purchased a sewing machine from Sears for about $179.00 and some leather needles.<br />I'm redoing the interior cushions,(those needles come with the machine) about $20.00per yard and used the same foam. If you take the cushions apart carefully that gives you the pattern you will need to make new ones.<br />I'm also redoing all the exterior cushions and trim peices on the out side, again about $25.00 per yard for decent vinyl. there are some decent books out there to help you along. <br />So far machine included I have about $700.00 bucks in the whole thing and will spend maybe $200.00 more.

A friend's wife wanted to protect their new boat seats so she bought extra large, color matched, heavy duty terry cloth towels and sewed up custom seat covers with elastic stretch bands around the edges. <br /><br />They're great to look at and even better to sit on. They beat vinyl on cold or hot days and they felt real good after coming in cold and wet from water skiing. <br /><br />She pulls them off and washes them after each trip out so they are fresh and dry the next time out. <br /><br />The bonus to all of this is his original, new seats never get damaged and always look clean and brand new. She said the towels were on sale and very inexpensive. <br /><br />
