Could me impact wrenching the flywheel on cause my ignition problems?

just like the title says.

when removing/installing my flywheel, I used the impact wrench to get it on and off.

I figured "torque wrench?! pshhhh who needs that?!"

And prompletly gave it a couple short bursts to tighten it down.

Should I remove it and torque it down correctly? (assuming no damage has already been done)

And how do I hold the flywheel while torquing it down?

Yes you absolutely should remove it and torque it down properly and hope for the best. Whether or not it's causing you any problems depends on if the flywheel key has sheared already or not. A strap wrench works well and they are not very expensive. Good luck!

No harm in removing it with the impact wrench, but installing it is another story. It will either be too loose and shear the key, possibly wrecking the flywheel and crankshaft, or it will be too tight and wreck the flywheel by spreading the taper. Or maybe this is your lucky day. Hey, don't waste those lucky days, they don't come along very often.
