sorry to hi-jack the thread but i am a new b to THIS forum and was wondering why i cant post a new thread? my status says im not allowed to post new threads and i dont see an option to start one...

I'll post in main forum and maybe someone will see it.

I don't think so.. I just looked at his profile and he's made 2 comments on threads by other people but hasn't started any threads himself.

he's not online right now so maybe one of the mods or someone more familiar with the system could send him a PM or email and help.

Thanks guys I didn't know what the issue could be but I wanted to help him. The thread he picked to ask in was pretty obscure. I sent him a pm with a link to this thread hopefully he will know how to get it.

i think you can't start a thread until you have made so many posts, to screen out spammers. So the guy needs to post a lot of "I heard that' and "sounds good" and "I agree" and "i tell you what" and then he can go to town.

1. Go to the iboats forum page http://forums.iboats.com/forum.php. Be sure to login at the top of the page.
2. Then select the section in which your question best fits (Click the section)
3. Once you have selected the section, click on the RED button that says "Post New Thread" located above the existing threads.
4. A new page will then pull up that allows you to title your piece (Something relevant to the question)
5. Type in your question in the body text area.
6. Look for the "Submit New Thread" button located in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

If that doesn't work or you have any other questions, PM one of the Moderators and they will try to help you in any way possible (short of loaning you money, that is).

thanks folks... i now have A red button to start a new thread lol also do you guys have a section to introduce myself in? i have used delphiforums for many years for motorcycle forums but recently bought a money pit err i mean boat and i am BRAND new to motor boats short of my little jon boat with a 9.9 kicker...

well gee thanks but i wasnt going to ask to borrow money lmao you have to pay that back with interest, i was just going to ask for them to GIVE ME money.. i once loaned a friend some money and never seen him again my wife says that was the best 100 bucks i ever spent.... but dang he also had my best fishing rod.. i sure miss that rod too...
