Sorry this is a silly questions but as common as these things are I can't think of the name. Looking for the name of this bolt that has "burrs" on the underside of the flat head so it bites into the a surface:

Fanged Elevator bolt... Not sure if they are available in SS though, and I wouldn't be using any fasteners on a boat unless they were SS,,, if I can help it.

T-nuts mentioned already are available in SS, I've used a bunch of them in my boat.

If it's a bolt or nut, McMaster Carr will usually have every version of it... See link below

McMaster Carr, Bolt Depot and lots of online sites will have those, and in stainless steel. I've never seen them in local stores, and when I asked for T-nuts at my local ACE Hardware, they looked at me like I was from another planet....

Then you must be because I have 3 Ace Hardware stores within 30min drive and they all stock them.

Yep, Ace Hardware does carry a remarkable variety of nuts, bolts, fasteners, washers, etc.....some rainy day go in there and just look in their Hardware section and it may give you some ideas for later applications.....

I had to replace all my Tee nuts when I did my resto 2 years ago. I bought all mine from Jamestown Distributors. You can buy online. They are a really nice company to deal with and their staff know their stuff. Their prices are hard to beat too. Lowe's wanted an arm and a leg for SS Tee nuts.

Thanks everyone, fishrdan especially. "Fanged Elevator Bolt" was exactly what I needed. Actually this is for a bag tractor we are dealing with at work so stainless is not necessary (but would be nice).

Yeah... Right. You are very lucky, because our Ace doesn't carry them... And they weren't familiar with them, either.
