Seems good to me Gary. That transom looks like an easier fix than some to me too . . . Do you plan to take the whole thing, make it right and sell it?

you know what i think. offer $400 to tow it away. then turn it. trailer and parts you got your money back. you know to get title, although NC just started that didn't they.

He emailed me his number,I'm going to call him this afternoon.
He said his parents want it out of the yard ASAP and he would make a better deal than 500.
I may get it for 300...
If he has a title for the trailer and the compression checks out i will drag it home.
I may just make me a little gas saver fishing rig out of it...

Talked to the seller on the phone.He said the engine runs good until the starter died.Said he had compression numbers around 125 on all 3 cylinders.
I will take my compression tester with me but will have to figure out how to spin the motor with a bad starter?
He is in College and won't be home for another week but said i could call his parents to set up a time to look at it.
No title for the trailer..
He bought it at an estate auction with just a bill of sale.
I mentioned 300 bucks for everything,new boat cover and all and i think he will take it.
He also mentioned a screw on the carb that needs adjusting,he had trouble keeping the mixture right..
I think its worth looking at now anyway..

Would like to find an aluminum boat to put that 55 hp on...

No title for the trailer..

Sell it to somebody in Ga. No titles required here. It wouldn't happen to be galvanized now would it?.....

Its a Cox brand trailer,I think those are painted steel,not sure.
I'll update ya and get some pics when i go look at it..
