Have an 89 Bayliner Arriva with a 1990 120hp Force motor. Motor starts real easy. The 30gall built in gas tank seemed to have to much oil in the gas, I think the previous owner put to much oil in the tank, probably thought you just poured it in if you know what I mean.. The gas was probably old to. I drained pretty much all but probably 5 or 6 gallons and put 8 gallons of fresh 50/1 in. (didn't think it would be a problem). Got to the lake today, Motor started right up but sounded weak, you know that I'm gonna stall any time now idle, was idling very low). Everytime I would put it in gear it would stall, Everytime. I had added one of those water separator filters to the line. Luckily I brought a small gas tank with fresh gas in it, hooked it up, and the motor seemed to take on a new life, ran great. When I got home I put the 2 gas mixtures in cups to compare and the built in fuel tank sure was dark. probably a stupid idea to just add more gas and hope I get it right don't you think? Is the best thing to do is try to drain as much of the gas out that I can and start over?
thanks for listening
ps: (the fuel pickup is clean, looked at it when I got home)

5 gallons of old gas+10 gallons of new gas= 15 gallons of junk gas.
simple math.
if it ran well on fresh gas and not off your hull tank you answered your own question.

So, what are you going to do with 13 gallons of bad gas?

Figured out the problem, guess the gas was ok after all, still a little to much oil but I cut it down some. There was a bug made (you know that hard honeycomb looking stuff) blockage up inside the chrome air vent, couldn't see it till I started troubleshooting, guess this is something to check if it happens to anyone else.
